About Fornia - The Person Months before my daughter was born, I was on a research expedition trying to find the perfect name for her. Some of the criteria that I had in mind was the name must be unique (one of a kind), easy to say, remember, feminine, and memorable. And most important of all, it has to have a story to it. One day I went to Borders Bookstore in San Francisco, and I browsed through the oversized books. I like those big books because they are photography books which contain a lot of pictures. As I was flipping through the pages on the scenes of California, a light bulb went off. How about Fornia for my daughter’s name? And Fornia was born about a month later on 11/6/2005. Reason 1: I was born at California Pacific Medical Center. Reason 2: I was born on California Street in San Francisco. Reason 3: I was born in the state of California. That is why I was named Fornia.
